Decision Making and Outside Relations
Mostly everyone has heard of the infamous play writer William Shakespeare, and his play Romeo and Juliet. This is a great example of why teens do things the way they do. Many teens grow up in families where discipline is hardly ever used. Where parents don't take responsibility and neither do the children. In Romeo and Juliet, there are many, many impulsive rash and harsh decisions that don't always add up. One example would be in Act 3. In act 3 a few of the main characters get into some conflict, Mercutio, a friend of Romeo stands up for his friend when a foe, Tybalt from the Capulet family comes and demands a "friendly talk" with Romeo. Of course, Mercutio provokes Tybalt and they have a fight. But instead of a light fight where minor injuries would take place, Tybalt stabs Mercutio and he eventually dies (spoiler warning?) Then this leads to a chain of events where Romeo ends up killing Tybalt and then Romeo gets banished from the kingdom. This is an example of where impulsive and rash decision making went down and got a few people in deep trouble.
